Bengaluru to Receive 4,500 Electric Buses Under PM e-Drive Scheme

Bengaluru is set to receive 4,500 electric buses, the highest allocation among five cities, under the Union government’s INR 10,900 crore PM e-Drive scheme. Delhi will receive 2,800 buses whereas Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Surat will receive 2,000, 1,000 and 600 electric buses, respectively.

Karnataka Govt Seeks Central Support for Electric Buses Under PM E-Drive Initiative

The Ministry of Heavy Industries has received a proposal from the Karnataka government seeking electric buses under the PM E-Drive scheme. Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H.D. Kumaraswamy has assured phased allocation and full central support.
