MSEDCL Invites Bids for 2 GW/4 GWh Battery Energy Storage Projects
MSEDCL has floated a tender to develop 2,000 MW/4,000 MWh of Battery Energy Storage Systems, comprising 1,000 MW/2,000 MWh at MSETCL/MSEDCL substations and 1,000 MW/2,000 MWh as co-located or standalone STU-connected projects, with VGF support of up to INR 18 lakh/MW. Bid submission ends on July 22, 2026.

ADB Sanctions USD 460 Million Loan to Support Agricultural Solarisation in Maharashtra
ADB has approved a USD 460 million loan, plus USD 40 million from the Clean Technology Fund, to solarise agriculture in Maharashtra by upgrading 180 substations, installing 4,500 transformers, adding 4,200 ckm of power lines, deploying 500 MWh of battery storage, and supporting 1,000 MW of decentralised solar power generation.

Pace Digitek Files DRHP with SEBI for INR 900 Crore IPO, Plans Investment in BESS Projects
Pace Digitek has filed the draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to raise INR 900 crore through an initial public offering (IPO). About INR 630 crore from IPO proceeds will be used for the company’s 750 MW/1,500 MWh BESS projects for MSEDCL in Maharashtra.
