MNRE has updated the ALMM List-I, adding 11,035 MW of solar module capacity in March 2026, taking the total enlisted capacity to 173,144 MW. Startup Energy (Micromax), Best Apartment, Army Solar Energy, Rajdeep Solar Energy and Sahjanand Solar are the new entrants. Vikram Solar, INA Solar, Solex Energy, Websol, and Swelect have increased capacities.

Solar Module Capacity Under ALMM Crosses 162 GW
MNRE has added 17,268 MW of solar module capacity in ALMM in February 2026, taking the total capacity to 162,109 MW. Space Solar and Sun2Earth Solar are the new entrants. RenewSys India, SAEL, Pahal Solar, Premier Energies, Grew Solar, Emmvee, ReNew Photovoltaics, Sunify Solar, Sunbond Energy, Group Surya and Adani Solar have increased capacities.

MNRE has added 23,119 MW of solar module capacity in ALMM List-I in December 2025, taking the total capacity to 144,841 MW. Znshine Solarworld, Inox Solar, Macwin Solar Energy, Eastman Green Technologies, Frontier Energy and Green Valley Motors are the new entrants. Waaree Energies, Rayzon Solar, Goldi Solar, INA Solar have increased capacities.

MNRE Proposes 1 Percent Hike in Solar Module Efficiency Threshold in ALMM from January 1, 2027
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has proposed raising ALMM module efficiency thresholds by one percent from January 1, 2027 and by an additional 0.5 percent from January 1, 2028 to drive adoption of higher-efficiency solar technologies.
