ALMM Update: MNRE Adds 6,922 MW of Solar Module Capacity in October 2025

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has updated the ALMM List-I, adding 6,922 MW of solar module capacity in October 2025, taking the total enlisted capacity to 116,467 MW. Gautam Solar, Bluebird Solar, Goldi Solar, and Rayzon Solar have increased capacities while Solitech Green Energy has entered the list with 1,321 MW capacity.

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has clarified that solar plants set up solely to charge grid-connected battery energy storage systems are not eligible for ALMM exemption for solar modules, as they do not qualify as behind-the-meter captive projects. The cut of date for ALMM for solar cells implementation will be 1 month from List-II publication.
