Naushad Saifi Senior Director, Sales – India, JinkoSolar “The outbreak had up to a certain extent impacted the material supply, labor and logistic operations. But situation has improved a lot now, especially for JinkoSolar. We are fully operational, manufacturing & deliv- ering for clients across the globe. When it comes overall situation in China, top solar module suppliers are less affected. But tier two suppliers will face challenges in coming time” E nergetica I ndia : Could you please share more details on Jinko Solar’s Tiger module? From when will this module be available for the Indian solar devel- opers? N aushad S aifi : Jinko Solar launched its new flagship module Tiger at All-Energy Australia 2019. Tiger offers customers a highly competitive performance-to-cost advantage as well as a fast time-to-mar- ket with direct migration from Cheetah version. Tiger module provides better density and power value than previous models, due to combination of upgraded Mono PERC half cut cell 9BB and Tiling Ribbon tech- nology. Its maximum wattage is current- ly available at 475Wp with efficiency of 21.16% efficiency. Tiger module comes will two variants – monofacial & bifacial By leveraging the new capabilities gained from Cheetah’s success, Jin- koSolar’s Tiger delivers 10% higher pow- er over Cheetah version and 5% over Cheetah Plus. At the same time, its de- sign is fully compatible with its existing module encapsulation processes and equipment, allowing its comprehensive supply ecosystem to be reused. As a re- sult, it offers a seamless migration path with a fast go-to-market cycle time with a very limited engineering resources for customers to achieve the product ben- efits from the new technology offering. Therefore, JinkoSolar claims to reach 9-10 GW of Tiger modules of 475Wp by adopting TR technologies. JinkoSolar is confident to push power to the 500 Wp or above by 2021 according to the Compa- ny’s roadmap. Given its these benefits, we already bagged orders in the tune of more than 1.5 GW globally. In India as well, Tiger is receiving irresistible attention. We are in advance discussion to close projects in cumulative capacity of 1.5GW~2GW recently in India. Energetica India catches up with Naushad Saifi, Senior Director, Sales – India, Jinko Solar to learn more about the company’s new products and its focus on achieving low LCOE. 18 energetica INDIA- May_2020 INTERVIEW
