Hoymiles String Inverter HINV350HX-G2: Powering Resilient Solar Growth in Rajasthan’s Harshest Conditions India’s decentralised solar journey is gaining momentum, and at the heart of this transformation lies intelligent inverter technology. A newly commissioned 5.5 MW solar installation in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, showcases how advanced string in- verter solutions, led by the HINV350HX-G2 (350 kW), are enabling reliable, high-performance solar deployment in chal- lenging environments. Built for India’s Toughest Solar Conditions Rajasthan’s extreme climate, marked by high temperatures, dust, and intense solar irradiation, demands robust and resil- ient technology. The HINV350HX-G2 is engineered precisely for such conditions, ensuring stable and efficient performance even in harsh environments. Its rugged design and advanced thermal management enable consistent output, minimising downtime and maximising energy yield. High-Efficiency Performance with Advanced Grid Support At the core of the HINV350HX-G2 lies a powerful 1500V architecture designed for high power density and operation- al efficiency. The inverter delivers a maximum efficiency of 99.05 percent and a European efficiency of 98.8 percent, en - suring optimal energy conversion even under variable load conditions. It maintains 350 kW output at 35°C and 320 kW at 45°C, making it particularly suited for high-temperature regions. Its advanced grid-support capabilities further enhance its value proposition. With fast response mechanisms for both active and reactive power control, along with Low/High Volt- age Ride Through (L/HVRT) and Frequency Ride Through (FRT), the inverter ensures grid stability and compliance with evolving grid codes. A short circuit ratio (SCR) ≥ 0.99 without reactive power derating highlights its ability to per- form reliably even in weak grid conditions. Smart Design for Lower Costs and Higher Reliability The HINV350HX-G2 enables optimised Balance of System (BOS) design, supporting 7 MW to 8.8 MW block configura - tions and compatibility with 182 mm and 210 mm modules. This flexibility allows developers to reduce system costs while maximising layout efficiency. Safety and uptime are equally prioritised. The inverter fea- tures an integrated DC Smart Disconnect Switch, ensuring enhanced DC-side safety, while delivering an availability rate exceeding 99 percent. Its innovative grid-connected algo- rithms and broadband PLC technology allow rapid response to grid dispatch instructions, further strengthening opera- tional reliability. Seamless Execution Backed by Strong Collaboration Beyond product performance, the success of the Jhunjhunu project also reflects effective collaboration. The Hoymiles technical team provided continuous support throughout in- stallation and commissioning, ensuring smooth execution without delays. According to Sanjay Jhajharia, Director of PureGrid Renew- able, the decision to deploy the HINV350HX-G2 platform was driven by Hoymiles’ strong reputation for advanced technology and high-quality standards. He emphasised that consistent positive feedback from the industry reinforced their confidence in the product. Jhajharia also highlighted the critical role of Hoymiles’ responsive technical support, which ensured seamless coordination and timely resolution of on-site requirements.
