MEI Solar Delivers 19 MW Group Captive Solar Project in Gujarat Featuring GoodWe Inverters GoodWe has announced that the com- pany has supplied inverters for a 19 MW group captive solar power project developed by Micro Engineering Indus- tries LLP (MEI Solar) in Gujarat. The project supports multiple commer- cial and industrial (C&I) consumers, such as textile, packaging, casting, and mill industries, in transitioning toward cost-efficient and sustainable energy. Commissioned in 2025, the plant has achieved a peak performance of 9.2 units/kW and is operating at a capacity utilisation factor (CUF) of 24 percent, highlighting its optimised system de- sign and effective asset utilisation under western India’s climate conditions. In January 2026 alone, the project gen- erated over 3.25 million kWh of clean electricity, translating into monthly savings of approximately INR 18.5 mil- lion for participating industries, while maintaining output aligned with indus- trial demand profiles, GoodWe stated. The installation features 75 units of GoodWe 250 kW HT inverters, engi- neered for utility-scale and high-load C&I applications. The solution delivers high conversion efficiency, grid stabil - ity, and long-term reliability. It sup- ports multiple MPPT configurations, reactive power compensation, bifacial module compatibility, and advanced string-level monitoring. Optional An- ti-PID and 24-hour monitoring fea- tures further enhance system reliabil- ity and contribute to a competitive levelised cost of energy (LCOE). Commenting on this project, Harsh Bhanvadia, Co-Founder of MEI LLP, said, “We prefer GoodWe inverters ex- clusively because of their safety inter- locks, the SEMS portal, and the excel- lent after-sales service. Their delivery timelines are always on schedule, and the service support is excellent.” Since 2019, MEI Solar and GoodWe, to- gether, have delivered over 100 MW of installations across Gujarat. Fest Group (Feston SEV Pvt. Ltd.) Enters BESS Segment, Sets Up 3 GWh Manufacturing Capacity Feston SEV Pvt. Ltd., a solar inverter and power electronics company operat- ing under Fest Group, has announced its foray into the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) segment. The move ex- pands the company’s portfolio beyond standalone inverters to include integrat- ed solar, storage, and power-electronics solutions. The company has initiated its BESS manufacturing journey with a planned annual production capacity of 3 GWh. Its product portfolio will span from 5 kWh systems designed for residential users to large 5 MWh containerised solu- tions targeted at commercial and indus- trial (C&I) applications. As part of its entry strategy, Feston has signed a Memorandum of Under- standing (MoU) with Light Mechanics Pvt. Ltd. The partnership will cover the design, supply, and commissioning of a prismatic battery pack assembly line. Once operational, the facility is ex- pected to strengthen Feston’s in-house manufacturing and system integration capabilities in the BESS space. Commenting on the development, Sampath Kumar, CEO of Fest Group (Feston SEV Pvt. Ltd.), said, “The re- quirement today is moving beyond gen- eration to how energy is managed across time. Across both C&I and residential segments, storage is becoming central to improving reliability and aligning ener- gy usage with demand.” Across both C&I and residential seg- ments, energy consumers are now seek- ing systems that can better align gener- ation with consumption patterns while ensuring more predictable power avail- ability. This shift in user expectation is creating a fertile ground for BESS adop- tion. Fest Group’s entry into BESS positions it to participate in this next phase of the energy transition, where system-lev- el integration is expected to play a de- fining role, the company stated. energetica INDIA- Mar-Apr_2026 18 ENERGY UPDATES
