Eastman Collaborates with ONDC Network to Expand Digital Commerce Presence Eastman Auto & Power Ltd., an inno- vator in the energy transition space, operating across three key verticals: last-mile e-mobility solutions, solar solutions, and continued energy solu- tions, has announced its collaboration with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), a Government of India–backed initiative aimed at de- mocratising digital commerce. This collaboration will help Eastman expand its digital presence and make its portfolio of energy solutions more accessible to customers nationwide, the company said in a statement. ONDC is an open, interoperable, and platform-agnostic Network that en- ables seamless interaction between buy- ers and sellers across multiple digital platforms. Unlike traditional e-com- merce marketplaces, ONDC is not a single platform; instead, it allows any ONDC-enabled buyer app to discover and purchase products from sellers reg- istered on a range of seller applications, offering a unified and transparent shop - ping experience. Through this integration, Eastman’s solar solutions, inverters, and energy products will now be discoverable to a broader audience, enhancing visibili- ty, transparency, and overall purchase convenience for both residential and commercial consumers. Products will be visible on platforms like Bajaj Finserv, Hamara Mall, Mystore and the Digi- Haat app, the company said. Commenting on the development, Shek- har Singal, Managing Director, East- man Auto & Power Ltd., said, “We are pleased to collaborate with ONDC Net- work, as it aligns with our commitment to expanding affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions across In- dia. Digital accessibility is a key driver for awareness and adoption in the clean energy sector.” Rohit Lohia, Chief Business Officer at ONDC, said, “We are delighted to wel- come Eastman Auto & Power Ltd. to the ONDC Network. Their integration reflects how the Network continues to open new pathways for businesses across varied sectors to engage with con- sumers.” With this collaboration, Eastman aims to strengthen customer outreach, sim- plify procurement, and contribute to accelerating digital adoption within the renewable energy sector, the company stated. Jinchen Expands India Footprint Through Partnerships and Projects with Saatvik Solar and Citizen Solar Yingkou Jinchen Machinery Co., Ltd. has strengthened its presence in India’s solar manufacturing sector by signing a technology partnership with Saatvik Solar for a 4 GW solar module manufac- turing plant and completing a key fac- tory acceptance milestone with Citizen Solar. Jinchen said that it will act as a technol- ogy partner for Saatvik Solar’s upcom- ing 4 GW module facility, supplying ad- vanced manufacturing equipment and, for the first time, a dedicated support and service contract aimed at enabling faster ramp-up and stable production. The company stated that the arrange- ment extends beyond equipment deliv- ery and is designed to support long-term operational performance and produc- tivity at the plant. Separately, Citizen Solar has completed the factory accep- tance test (FAT) for a 1.2 GW turnkey solar module manufacturing line sup- plied by Jinchen. The project marks another step in a business relationship between the two companies that spans more than a decade. Jinchen said that the Citizen Solar line reflects its focus on equipment reliabil - ity, consistent performance and low maintenance requirements, as Indian manufacturers scale up domestic mod- ule production. The developments come as India accel- erates capacity additions across the so- lar manufacturing value chain, driven by rising domestic demand and policy support for local production. Jinchen said that it remains focused on supporting Indian manufacturers through technology, service and long- term partnerships. energetica INDIA- February_2026 22 ENERGY UPDATES
