Bharat CBG Partners with Turkey’s IONA Engineering for WTE and 300 TPD Biogas Projects in India Bharat CBG, a joint venture company of Carbon Masters India and Saatarem Alternative Fuel & Energy (SAAFE), has announced that the company has entered into a consultancy services and waste-to-energy (WTE) partnership agreement with Turkey-based IONA Engineering to develop a WTE power generation facility and a 300 tonnes per day (TPD) biogas plant in India. The agreement was signed on January 27, 2026, on the sidelines of India En- ergy Week (IEW) 2026 in Goa, with Energetica India providing exclusive coverage. Under the agreement, IONA Engineer- ing will design, supply, install, commis- sion, and own the WTE facility, while SAAFE will supply 25-35 TPD of waste single-use plastic as feedstock. The pow- er supply arrangement will be valid for 15 years from the commercial operation date, with tariff escalation built into the contract. The partnership also includes consul- tancy services for a 300 TPD biogas plant with pre-processing and anaerobic digestion systems. IONA shall provide engineering and technical consultan- cy services limited to upstream biogas system design, while downstream gas upgrading, bottling, civil works, and statutory approvals are excluded from its scope. Additionally, BHS-Sonthofen India and Armatec-FTS have been roped in as technology partners for the CBG plant, with BHS handling waste pretreatment and Armatec providing agitation and pumping technology. The agreement will be governed by Indi- an law, with dispute resolution through arbitration in Bengaluru, and will re- main valid until all financial and oper - ational obligations are fulfilled, it said. Hoymiles, KOSOL Energie Sign 360 MWMicroinverter Supply Agreement Hoymiles Power Electronics and KOSOL Energie have announced the signing of India’s largest-ever microin- verter supply agreement, powering 360 MW of residential rooftop solar proj- ects. The agreement was formalised on January 26, 2026, in Ahmedabad, Guja- rat, in the presence of senior leadership teams from both organisations. The 360 MW deployment is the largest single microinverter deal executed in the Indian solar market, reflecting KOSOL Energie’s adoption of advanced, safe, and high-efficiency solar technologies at scale, the company stated. By choosing microinverter-based ar- chitecture for such a significant capac - ity, KOSOL Energie is driving a shift toward higher energy yield, enhanced safety, system-level monitoring, and long-term reliability, it said. KOSOL Energie has signed a formal agreement with the Andhra Pradesh Government for the deployment of dis- tributed rooftop solar projects, covering 1.5 lakh homes across the state, as part of the PM Suryaghar Yojana. These mi- croinverters will be deployed there, the company said. Commenting on the development, Kalpesh Kalthia, Chairman and Man- aging Director, KOSOL Energie, said, “This 360 MW microinverter deal is a defining milestone not just for KOSOL Energie, but for India’s solar journey.” Piyush Sharma, Channel Business Di- rector, Hoymiles India, remarked, “This 360 MW agreement with KOSOL En- ergie represents a defining moment for microinverter adoption in India. As the country’s largest microinverter deal to date, it will play a crucial role in acceler- ating high-quality rooftop solar deploy- ment nationwide.” This partnership builds on Hoymiles’ growing presence in India, including successful installations such as a 100 kW solar project in Guruvayur, Thris- sur, Kerala. Through this collaboration, KOSOL Energie aims to leverage glob- ally proven microinverter technology, cost-optimised system architecture, along with strong local and global af- ter-sales support, including 24/7 techni- cal assistance and rapid resolution time- lines, the company stated. energetica INDIA- February_2026 18 ENERGY UPDATES
