Amrut Nature Solutions Pvt. Ltd. A joint venture company in partnership with Shell Overseas Investments B. V. (The Netherlands) for the implementa- tion of Nature-based Solutions across India. The subsidiary works towards enabling biodiversity conservation and resto- ration through the enhancement of natural ecosystems like sustainable farming, farmland protection, forestation, culti- vation of wetlands and grasslands et. al amongst other best practices that enable the reduction of emissions. The subsidiary provides consultancy/advisory services to de- velop NBS projects such as forests, sustainable agriculture, The subsidiary commenced operations at its Nashik plant in April 2022 to manufacture 1.2 million+ ICS per year. EKI plans to increase this capacity to 3 million+ ICS per year in a phased manner with an aim to empower more homes. In addition to the reduction of harmful smoke emissions, our ICS offers numerous benefits that align with multiple UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including – climate action, reduction in firewood consumption, forest and biodi - versity conservation, good health & well-being, employment creation, savings in health cost, enhancement of indoor air quality inside homes amongst others. and mangroves amongst others, to generate carbon credits for international voluntary or compliance carbon markets. 2. GHG Reductions Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Subsidiary incorporated by EKI for strengthening the backward integration of carbon credit supply through its Green Cooking initiative. EKI’s Green Cooking initiative is a sustainable community development program that was launched in 2018.
