Residential and Utility not only require standard and advance features but also sometimes requires the specific need of the geographical location or grid. Solis Inverters R&D team handles these re- quirements very proficiently and so are the results in terms of the better accept- ability for our brand here in India. Better service and shorter response time has been a key driver for our growth story here in India. We have the best- trained personnel with vast experience to handle any situation in an optimized manner. Q What market share does Solis is targeting by FY23 in the Indian market? Idris Khan: In the last few years i.e. 2020, 2021, & 2022 we have seen glob- ally COVID hit and also seen various challenges and difficulties in terms of supply chain and country lockdown, and globally IC chips and Semi-con- ductor, IGBT are still not come back on track in terms of full-filling the indus - try demand, due to that, we have seen an increase in PV module prices, where big projects are on hold or waiting for some GOI support or waiting for some reduction in prices, considering all those factors, Solis has managed to do good sales and has touched satisfactory num- bers. If things got improved in the raw material supply chain then probably most of the projects we are on hold in the year 2022, those project will be back on track and we feel Solis would be able to grab a good amount of share based on past supply history. Q Recently Solis wins the Green Lead- ership Award 2022. Kindly shed some light on its significance for Solis. Idris Khan: Solis has not only been rec- ognized for championing sustainable and responsible business practices but also for its immense contribution to the welfare of society. Some of the initiatives undertaken by Solis include helping the less fortunate, fighting COVID-19, and participating in photovoltaic poverty alleviation pro- grams. Solis has donated $465,000 in schol- arships to universities and colleges, as well as donated inverters for several non-profit photovoltaic projects. Solis is committed to its success and continues to live up to its Corporate Social Responsibility commitments as well. With the cumulative shipment of 30GW+, which is equivalent to the an- nual contribution of more than 36 bil- lion degrees of green electricity, reduc- ing carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 35.88 million tons, which is equivalent to planting nearly 19.56 million green plants on the earth. Solis has been at the forefront when it comes to meeting its Corporate Social Responsibility commitments. It uses public media, professional organiza- tions, and its website to raise aware- ness about environmental issues and concerns. Solis will continue to fulfill its corporate social responsibility com- mitments even in the future by actively contributing to society and devoting it- self to public welfare projects.
