EDITORIAL Dear Energetica India Readers, We welcome you to the October-Novem- ber 2021 edition of Energetica India. India Inc termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pledge for the country, at COP26, to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2070 as ‘Practical Target’. With this bold pledge, PM Modi not only showed India’s commitment towards Paris Agreement but also hinted major carbon emitter na- tions to act seriously towards reducing their own carbon footprints first. Meanwhile, for the current edition, Ener- getica India has met up with the follow- ing industry leaders to get more insights into the industry trends: 1. In this edition, we cover Lowsoot - a Bangalore-based start-up that aims to reverse climate change by helping busi- nesses and individuals calculate and off- set their footprint by funding/donating to green initiatives. The company has been incubated by India’s biggest electric vehicle (EV) lo- gistics company eBikeGo. In the next 6 months, it is planning to onboard more than 10,000 NGOs and green projects on its platform. Some interesting and informative articles in this edition include: 1.
