Magenta, the fastest growing Indian Charge Point Operator (CPO) company, has successfully set up 6 electric vehicle (EV) charging hubs for the commercial fleet vehicles in Bengaluru. Further, the charging infrastructure would be spread across key locations in Bengaluru; BTM Layout, Kudlu, Jigani, Vijaya Bank Layout, Yeshwantpura, Ma - hadevapura building the robust charging infrastructure around e-commerce hubs and warehouses across Bengaluru. The EV charging hub with over 150 charging points is synced with the Ma- genta ChargeGrid Smart app (Available on IOS and Android), enabling EV own- ers to check the real-time availability of EV Charging stations and book slots and fleet operators to pay for EV Charging points online. The Magenta EV Charging Hubs would cater to the charging and maintenance of vehicles and come with a control pan- el for the fleet operators to manage and supervise the state of charging, charging schedule, and vehicle service schedule. The EV Charging Hubs are developed focusing on ease of use for fleet drivers and operators: On the go charging on a 24X7 basis, overnight secure parking, maintenance and servicing of the vehi- cles while vehicles are being charged and rest areas for the drivers. Additional - ly, the highly ingenious hubs are geared with an energy backup system in case of a power outage and ensure full charging for these fleets. These charging hubs are enabled with EV chargers which are de- veloped in-house in line with Indian us- age conditions. Commenting on the development, Max- son Lewis – Founder, & Managing Di - rector, Magenta said, “e-Commerce companies are driving the commitment for electric vehicles in the last mile deliv- ery space. EV Charging Hubs play a key role in the success of a fleet business and operational efficiency. Our charging hubs at Bengaluru are planned in a 3 km radius around the e-commerce hubs and warehouses stretching to the outskirts of the city all the way to Bengaluru Elec - tronic city. The idea is to create the charging infra - structure in areas with the highest density of last-mile distribution hubs and enable seamless operations. These charging hubs have been developed with the EV fleet drivers in mind.” Magenta ChargeGrid has successfully established six charging hubs across Bengaluru and plans to install 9 more by the end of the year. Magenta has part - nered with several leading logistics and e-commerce companies like Amazon India, Porter, Udaan, BigBasket, Jum - boTail, etc, for 3rd Party Last Mile Logis - tics services. Apart from this solution, Magenta has many firsts to its credit, including the so - lar-based EV Charging Stations, India’s first EV Charging Corridor for Mumbai – Pune Expressway, and ChargeGrid App, an integrated and automated network of all charging stations on Mobile.
