A Throwback Memory in India: Sungrow’s First Installation in India Completes 6 years of Operations
The project has generated more than 50 million units of clean solar energy over last six years. This has also helped to offset 6.5 million kg of CO2 annually and will continue to do so.Even after almost 6 years, Sungrow’s SG30KTL-M inverters are performing smoothly in the tough climatic area where the temperature is soaring up to 50 deg C in summer. This longevity of the product with minimal failures has helped the customer maximize the generation and increase the ROI.

Introduction
Bhadla, Rajasthan, a name later became synonymous for the lowest tariff Rs 2.44/- per kWh for a long time in India. It is also host to one of the largest solar parks in the world with 2245 MW capacity of Solar Projects running inside the park. In 2014, solar in India was at an early stage and was gathering the momentum. This was the first project for Sungrow in India to install its PV inverters and enter the market. After this, there has been no look back and Sungrow has secured its place and credibility among almost all the customers in India by its innovative product portfolio, responsive sales and technical team well supported by widespread service network.
The project was developed by Sidhidata Solar Urja Limited, a subsidiary of LNB Renewable (part of LN Bangur group), and one of the leading EPC and O&M solution providers for grid connected and rooftop solar PV projects in India. This ground mounted project was being set up to achieve the competitive tariff in Rajasthan while balancing the Capex and Opex.

Description
The PV plant has an AC capacity of 5 MW. DC capacity of 5.5 MW. The modules are mounted on fixed tilt ground mounting structures.
Sungrow, as a global leading inverter solution supplier for renewables, and a new entrant to India market with its advanced products, was chosen by the customer for this project. SG30KTL-M, the multi MPPT 30kW string inverter model was best suited for this project due to uneven terrain. Further the steady performance in hot climate, high efficiency and more yield of Sungrow’s SG30KTL-M made it more compelling option for the developer to opt the model.
There are total 156No’s Sungrow SG30KTL-M inverters, fixed on the mounting structures below the PV modules. The PV plant was connected to the grid on August, 2014 after all the installations and EPC work were completed.
The project has generated more than 50 million units of clean solar energy over last six years. This has also helped to offset 6.5 million kg of CO2 annually and will continue to do so.
Even after almost 6 years, Sungrow’s SG30KTL-M inverters are performing smoothly in the tough climatic area where the temperature is soaring up to 50 deg C in summer. This longevity of the product with minimal failures has helped the customer maximize the generation and increase the ROI.
