According to TeamLease’s Jobs and Salaries Primer FY 2026–27, the EV and EV Infrastructure industry continues to lead India’s salary growth landscape with an expected increment of 10.2 percent, the highest across all sectors. While growth has moderated slightly from 11.3 percent in FY 2025–26, the industry retains its top position, powered by policy support, rising consumer adoption, and investments across manufacturing, charging, and mobility ecosystems.

With an expected salary growth of 10.2 percent, EV & EV Infrastructure outpaces every other sector in FY 2026–27. Continued support through initiatives such as FAME II, PLI schemes, and PM E-Drive, coupled with growing EV penetration, is keeping talent demand strong across the value chain.

Pune emerges as the top city for EV salaries, benefiting from its strong automotive manufacturing ecosystem and auto-component supply chains.
Other leading cities include:
- Pune – 10.3 percent
- Chennai – 10.1 percent
- Bengaluru – 9.7 percent
- Hyderabad – 8.8 percent
- Delhi – 8.6 percent
