As we develop our scenarios & business insights activities, Angela will bring significant experience in scenarios development, business strategy, and public policy. Having worked in many countries and for organisations in both public and private sector she will be able to add greatly to our capabilities. I am delighted that Angela has agreed to join the World Energy Council."

Angela Wilkinson said: "I am very pleased to be joining the Council at a time when the energy sector is undergoing rapid transformation. We have taken energy for granted for far too long and the challenge now is to avoid sleepwalking into a different energy future. Energy is fundamental and vital. For society to flourish we need modern energy."

The Council's current World Energy scenarios, developed by the World Energy Council in collaboration with Accenture Strategy and the Paul Scherrer Institute  includes three scenarios entitled 'Unfinished Symphony', 'Modern Jazz' and 'Hard Rock', which present three distinct trajectories for the energy sector to 2060, with very different realities across regions. Presented at the 23rd World Energy Congress the scenarios have been used by a range of organisations to inform their corporate and policy strategies.
