Panasonic honoured with the Leading Energy Solutions Provider - Renewable Energy India Awards

New Delhi, 8th September, 2016:  To recognize their continued excellence and innovation in the field of renewable energy, Panasonic India’s Energy Storage Solutions was awarded as the best in the Leading Energy Storage provider category. The award was part of the Renewable Energy India awards 2016, hosted by UBM India. The ceremony took place last week at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida. 
Panasonic’s energy solutions divisions is part of a core commitment to the country and part of three essential pillars to drive growth and profitability in India. With the current government’s push towards making India a manufacturing hub via initiatives like Make in India, there is a common understanding that the country’s energy needs will increase significantly, and renewable sources will play a crucial role in managing that requirement. 
Atul Arya, Head, Energy Systems Division, Panasonic said, “We are extremely honoured on receiving this prestigious award. This is in continuation with our robust efforts to provide a sustainable solution for energy storage in India. Since peak usage of energy begins at dawn it is extremely important that we utilise the energy in the most efficient manner and use it when required utmost. Lithium ion is an answer to our storage problems. It is an extremely significant part of India’s energy needs and will help achieve the National Solar Mission capacity of 100 GW by 2022.”
Panasonic Lithium–ion has already been established across Telecom and Banking sectors.
