India´s solar power capacity increases 20 fold in 2011, says Bloomberg

Jump to the comments
Indian solar power capacity expanded 20-fold in 2011to at least 356 megawatts (compared to 17.8 megawatts on December 2010), a third of the targeted level, after infrastructure, financing and weather-related delays, according to Bloomberg New Energy Finance. India had planned to install 1,233 megawatts of central government, regional and pilot projects.

“Many projects in Gujarat state were delayed because of transmission infrastructure problems, rains, and delays in financial closure,” said Bharat Bhushan, Bloomberg New Energy Finance’s New Delhi-based solar analyst. Some are just being completed and more capacity is expected by March, he said.

The plans by the world’s third-largest energy consumer to boost capacity have provided relief for panel makers struggling with slowing growth in developed markets. Germany, the largest market for the technology, said it will cut subsidies for solar more rapidly to control costs, driving down shares of companies including Suntech Power Holdings Co. and LDK Solar Co.

Gujarat, running India’s largest solar program, has only commissioned 186 megawatts of the 933 megawatts of photovoltaic plants , New Energy Finance’s data shows. Of 140 megawatts awarded by central government auction, 75 are built.

hi alla few things i have found by tring denferift ways of soldering these. first if you lightly scratch off the white on the strips first the tabbing wire really sticks better and smoother.also i found i did not need to use any solder. without removing this white i found the tabbing wire would come off the panel very easy. to remove the white you just neet to scratch it very lightly with something dull . also i found putting cardboard under the cell disipates the heat better .

2013-08-10I don't truly treatment how or after i get the Letters in the Mail. Every time it arerivs, it feels like a letter should be. It's suddenly there in my mail box just one day. A pleasant, tangible surprise. I'm for you doing whatever you want when you send it. Mix it up for the men and women who help get it sent out. Include crumbs from your lunch. Coffee stains. Whatever. Keep the tedious character of getting letters out to a minimum by doing whatever you feel like that day. The arrival on the letter and the words of the author inside are what matters. Personally, what I like ideal about The Rumpus is that I in no way know what I'll study that day. Or if there isn't really one which day, maybe it's because Stephen couldn't come across anything to say or there was way too much planning on.
