The historic Hyderabad Deccan Railway Station, built in 1907 by Osman Ali Khan, the last Nizam of Hyderabad, has gone solar.
Sunshot is proud to be associated with Persistent Foundation and South Central Railways for installing this solar power plant.
The plant was inaugurated by the hands of Shri Suresh Prabhu (Hon. Railway Minister) on March 25th, 2017. The Hon. Union Labour Minister Shri Bandaru Dattatreya was also present during the inauguration ceremony.
The system is going to help in saving about Rs. 25.6 Lakhs per annum without any investment from the Railways.
The system has been built in an unique model; Persistent Foundation, the CSR arm of a leading IT giant Persistent Systems Limited have donated the solar power plant to Railways. Initially a 160 kWp solar plant have been installed in a similar arrangement at Pune Railway Station.
