EESL grows 11 times in 2015-16

Energy Efficiency Services limited (EESL), a joint venture company of NTPC Limited, Power Finance Corporation Limited, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, Rural Electrification Corporation Limited under Ministry of Power (MOP) Government of India, successfully concluded its 7th Annual General Meeting on 24th December, 2016. The meeting was presided over by Shri K.K. Sharma, Chairman accompanied by Shri Saurabh Kumar, Managing Director and his colleagues from the Board of Directors, the Chief Finance Officer, Company Secretary and well attended by the Company’s Shareholders.

During the financial year 2015-16, the company registered an increase of Rs. 646.31 Crs in revenue from operations which went up to ₹708.84 crores from Rs. 62.53 crores. Profit before tax was at ₹ 48.12 crore in 2015-16 in comparison to ₹ 13.57 crore in 2014-15. Net profit of the Company in 2015-16 is ₹ 35.59 crore, an increase of ₹ 26.53 crore over the previous year. EESL declared Rs. 10.68 Crs towards dividend for FY 2015-16 in comparison to ₹ 2.72 Crs in previous year. The net worth of the company as on March 31, 2016 has increased from ₹110.33 crores to ₹208.03 crores.


Shri K.K. Sharma, Chairman, EESL said that the company is growing at an exceptional pace and is poised for a big leap in the coming years. Shri Sharma thanked the company’s shareholders, employees and partners for this stellar success. Shri Saurabh Kumar, Managing Director, EESL said, “Energy efficiency is an obvious choice for countries like India to meet energy needs. Without the support of the citizens of India and the right direction by the Government of India and its policies, this success would not have been possible.”
