The blueplanet 125 TL3 is a string inverter for large solar power plants and highest technological demands. In particular, the inverter meets the climatic conditions in very hot and coastal regions. Still this year, KACO new energy will start the international sale of its new inverter flagship. The blueplanet 125 TL3 will be on display at stand 1764 at Solar Power International.
The blueplanet 125 TL3 from KACO new energy is in the starting blocks: As part of the market launch, the inverter will be available on all major global markets in November 2018. The device is the first inverter from the Germany-based PV specialist to follow the growing call for 1500-volt technology in solar power plants. It is also the first inverter ever to rely consistently on silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductors.
By using SiC technology, the string inverter weighs less than 80 kilograms at 125 kVA AC rated power: a high power density, especially since the inverter allows for an oversizing of its AC power by 1.5 times. The high performance of the inverter is underlined by the maximum power of 137.5 kVA, the efficiency of 99 percent and the wide MPP range from 875 to 1300 volts.
Latest technology for economical solar power plants
With these key figures, the blueplanet 125 TL3 recommends itself for utility-scale solar parks whose builders want to ensure high cost-effectiveness thanks to the latest technology and decentralised design. KACO new energy offers turnkey solutions to investors and EPC companies who prefer system technology on the entire AC side from a single source – also and especially for installations under difficult climatic conditions.
The inverter for all weathers
The blueplanet 125 TL3 handles heat and cold over a wide temperature range of -25 to +60 °C – and is the only inverter that enters a performance derating at as late as 55 °C. The OD+ version is prepared for salt air corrosion and can be installed near the coast. Other environmental influences are countered by a high protection according to IP66 and Nema 4X.
The connection area is designed to be installer-friendly; critical components are easily accessible for maintenance purposes, tool-free removal of the fans being one example for this. The fans are the central element of the active cooling system, which protects the core components of the inverter with a view to a long service life.
KACO new energy will be presenting the blueplanet 125 TL3 at Solar Power International at stand 1764: North America's largest trade fair and conference event for the solar industry takes place from 24 to 27 September 2018 in Anaheim (California).
