KOR Energy bags orders from four UP companies for 2.8MW rooftop solar power plants

KOR Energy (India) Pvt. Ltd. a solar power company has bagged orders from four (4) companies for rooftop solar plants in the industrial area of Uttar Pradesh. Of the total 2.8MWp, 1200KWp rooftop solar plant is being installed at Apollo Metalax Ltd.

KOR Energy bags orders from four UP companies for 2.8MW rooftop solar power plants

KOR Energy (India) Pvt. Ltd. a solar power company has bagged orders from four (4) companies for rooftop solar plants in the industrial area of Uttar Pradesh. Of the total 2.8MWp, 1200KWp rooftop solar plant is being installed at Apollo Metalax Ltd. at Secunderabad Industrial Area- Bulandshahr, 1200KWp rooftop solar plant will be installed at Apollo Pipes Ltd. at their plant at Dadri Industrial Area- GautamBudh Nagar and 200KWp Rooftop Solar Plants are being installed each at industrial sheds of KV Aromatics Pvt. Ltd. Greater Noida and Hindustan Mint Private Ltd. - Chandausi, Moradabad respectively.

World's best in class REC Solar twinpeak modules and ABB Invertors are being used in these plants to ensure maximum efficiency and performance consistency. These systems will be grid connected and will have an additional benefit of net metering, which will result in receiving credit in electricity bill against the excess electricity generated by the solar system.

Sushil Kumar Sarawgi:Industrial customers have high electricity tariff and in many industry electricity cost is a major portion of the total working capital cost. With solar, the companies can save on their electricity bills, enjoy non-polluting green energy, improve their green ratings and also get benefits of accelerated depreciation.

Sushil Kumar Sarawgi:Costs benefits are huge, depending upon the size and cost of funds the returns may vary between 20% to 30% per annum and consistently for 25 years.

Energetica India: What kind of maintenance services will KOR Energy provide to these four projects in UP?

Sushil Kumar Sarawgi:We will be doing comprehensive operations and maintenance that will include preventive maintenance and regular cleaning activities so as to maximise returns for the customers. All these plants will be equipped with online generation monitoring system and fault detection systems to as to take up immediate corrective actions whenever needed.

Energetica India: How does KOR Energy assist in financing of renewable energy projects? Will it also financially assist SMEs to go solar?

Sushil Kumar Sarawgi:We have many lending institutions that are funding from 70% to 80% of project cost for both SMEs and Large Corporates to set up rooftop solar plant. We can assist them from Detailed Project Report Preparation to financing these projects.
